Planting with children

On 12 March, helpers from local primary schools joined in planting trees in a park in the Brabčov district.

Pupils of two classes from the Jaroslava Seifert Primary School and the Jindřich Matiegka Primary School planted several trees with us during a pleasant and active morning. In addition to the planting itself, we also played a fun and educational game that introduced the children to the functioning and life of trees. We also talked together about how indispensable trees are for our lives and what they can do.

The Mayor came to greet the children and appreciated their interest and presented them with certificates for their enthusiastic help. The trees that the children planted will have plaques with their names on them.

The whole morning was recorded by a camera crew preparing a documentary about the Norway Grants projects implemented in Mělník.
